Athletics Program Mission Statement
The mission of our athletic program uncompasses the goals of our school; to help all student-athletes maximize their potential socially, intellectually, physically and spiritually, so they may excel and achieve their goals.
Our student-athletes are motivated to play with class, character, and commitment to excellence.
We put God first and academics second. We do not believe in or teach “win at all cost”. We teach the process of building team work, integrity, respect and self-discipline. By teaching these values, it will be more rewarding and successful for our student-athletes both on and off the field and it will bring honor to God.
Fall 2009 was the fifth season for the middle school soccer team at the Eagle’s Nest Christian Academy. This was a challenging year because, in addition to the usual loss of the previous year’s eight graders, several sixth and seventh graders switched schools during the summer. So, this year’s soccer team included some new players to the sport. It is a testament to the school’s values that the players supported each other to have another fun soccer season. Each and everyone contributed to make this another winning season.
Fall 2009 was the first season in which we played home games at the Eagle’s Nest Christian Academy. This new field helped bring more support from the school community and allowed the soccer team to hold some much needed practices on a full size field. The soccer program is thankful to the Delmarva Christian Academy for allowing us the use of their fields for the first four years.
